Green roof
Detains and retains runoff, storing rainwater for the plants to use and stormwater management.
Our water retention fleece is a nonwoven made of 100% recycled synthetic and natural fibres. Lightweight and highly absorbent, it can capture over 6 times its own weight in water. It is an ideal solution for enhancing a green roof's water retention capacity without incurring significant loading.
Mineral wool has been used extensively as substrates in hydropronics. We adapted this horticultural approach by incorporating mineral wool mat to store water and nutrients in green roof systems. It can capture over 10 times its own weight in water and releases the excess after a time delay.
